Safety Committment

We are committed to a safety culture that places a high level of importance on safety beliefs, values and attitudes in all areas of organisational performance.
Safety Rules – General
- 1.Participants to remain in the spectator area until instructor calls for class
- 2.Keep entrance, stairs and ramps clear at all times
- 3.Look after equipment and adhere to equipment rules
- 4.Wear suitable clothing, no jewellery
- 5.All food and drinks to remain in foyer area
- 6.Treat and speak to all others with care and respect
Safety Rules – Pit and Trampoline
- •One person at a time on the trampoline
- •Ensure area is clear before entering the foam pit and land only on feet or bottom
- •Flips and saltos (in the air) may only be performed under the direction and supervision of a qualified coach
- •Double salto skills require a readiness assessment record to be completed by a qualified coach
- •Landing in foam pit on head or stomach can result in serious injury and should be avoided at all times
- •Exit trampoline safely, stop and climb off to the side, no jumping
Safety Rules – Trampoline
- •One person at a time on the trampoline
- •Participants in the class using tramps only
- •No knee bounces
- •No flips and saltos (in the air), unless under the direction and supervision of a qualified coach
- •Exit trampoline safely, stop and climb off to the side, no jumping off
Safety Guidelines – Vault and Floor
- •Always supervise mini tramp activities
- •Ensure appropriate spacing between activities
- •Ensure participants have achieved the previous drill (i.e. badge activity) with control *it is alright for participant to perform an easer drill if required
- •Ensure participant have the physical preparation to participate in the activity safely
- •Spot to provide assistance
Safety Guidelines – Bars
- •Appropriate height of bar or matting in relation to the ability of participant and the type of the activity
- •Adequate matting under bars and for landing
- •Dismount on the back swing •Provide appropriate equipment for participants to reach the bar
- •Supervise
- •Assist as required
Safety Guidelines – Beam
- •Appropriate height of beam
- •Suitable landing surface and area
- •Exit from feet land in a motorbike shape
- •Appropriate placement of additional small apparatus
- •Appropriate spacing between activities and participants
- •Spot to provide assistance
