- In 2011 the President of the Huon Valley PCYC Jimmy Bell approached Kingborough Sports Centre Gymnastics for assistance with developing a grant for a GymAbility program for children with Special Needs. The Huon Valley PCYC were successful in attaining $55 000 to purchase Gymnastics and specialised equipment for the GymAbility program.
- Through an agreement between the Huon Valley PCYC and Kingborough Sports Centre Gymnastics, Huon Valley Gymnastics was formed and commenced operations on the 20th of February 2012.
- Today we operate classes 3 days per week and have over 200 members
